UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

Our European system of under-graduation lets our students enroll in a specific course of studies they wish to pursue upon 3 years specialization path in order to achieve a certificate of Level EQF 6 [European Quality Framework] as a “Diploma Accademico di I livello”.

In the traditional system, in EQF 6 is also defined a vocational degree (Diploma di Laurea) that is similar in length, and it is also considered as an academic degree. Though it is designed as a specialist degree, in contrast to the Diploma Accademico di I Livello, which claims to be more generalist.

Italy itself, however, is currently abolishing the legal distinction between Academies Diplomas and University’s Degrees. They will be both translated as university’s certificates as they both provide Bologna-Compliant and Equivalent Levels. The comparison is currently based on common reference levels, correlated with a “learning outcomes” framework and placed in an 8-level structure called EQF.

In most under-graduate studies, if students have any lack in required subjects, they are required to obtain their foundation certificate (propaedeutic) within three semesters after starting the course. A foundation certificate also counts as a requirement for participating in a university level bachelor’s study. The propaedeutic exams have the purpose of assessing whether a student has the appropriate capacities in order to complete the course.

PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMS

Our professional courses have been conceived with an approach oriented towards a practical preparation. They provide the basic theoretical knowledge and the tools and skills required by the labor market. Apprenticeships form an integral part of the courses: for eligible students, a training experience is provided in a private company – or, in alternative a job shadowing experience – that covers at least 30% of the total duration of the course. This path aims to establish a strong and lasting bond between students and the companies where they work, with the aim of also developing innovation skills – now increasingly required and essential for entry into the world of work. At least 50% of teachers come from the corporate world to allow students to develop the skills required by businesses.

The courses are related to the following technological sectors:

  • Innovative technologies for cultural heritage and activities – Tourism
  • Information and communication technologies
  • New Technologies of life
  • New Technologies for Made in Italy
  • Aesthetic arts, professional body arts and hairdressers
  • Music

It does not allow access to Master or PhD courses or other second or third-cycle courses, because the course complies with the Regional Framework of Competences.
